Pop of Peplum in Dubai

9:49:00 PM

The day after we arrived in Dubai, this is the outfit that I wore. We went to the Dubai College of Fashion and had aere's fitting session with the organisers and models for the Dubai Modest Fashion Week show. I talked about the fitting session in my post On The Streets of Dubai and I actually wore this top before I changed to the CAMILLA Top which I wore in that post.

I am wearing the VALYN Peplum Top from aere's CHANGE collection which was just released today in 2 colours. And this top received so many good feedbacks that day at the fitting session and even some passerbys who commented that they liked the top. My favourite part of the VALYN is the flattering peplum cut. However, this isn't just your normal peplum top. The peplum waist sash is actually detachable, meaning I can tie it on however I want to. I can put the ribbon at the front, the back or even at either side. But I kind of like putting it at the front especially when I am wearing pants as it adds a little bit of sophisticated detail. However, if I wear a skirt with it I would probably tie the ribbon at the back so that the skirt can have its time to shine and the ribbon neatly rounding off the look. My other absolute favourite part is the smocking details. Tying the sash at the waist gives an illusion of a slimmer body, plus the loose cut of the arms makes it even more comfortable to wear compared to the usual tight fitting peplum tops out there. I have lots of people commenting that they love the smocking detailing on the arms for that subtle difference.

I paired it with aere's CAELI Pants, a matching scarf which I got from my dearest Hasanah many years ago, and light pink accessories, bag, shoes and sunnies for a sweet shade of colour that is soft and yet presentable. Peplum gets a lot of love, but this is one unique peplum top that can be worn in different ways, each with a refreshing look.

PEACE & LOVE!
