I See Red

I went to an event recently and the theme was "red" so I chose to wear an all black outfit with a pop of red jacket and lipstick. So many people are going for a getaway or a break this holiday season, are you going anywhere? I feel like I need a break too! I don't have anything planned this year yet. Can't believe in less than 2 weeks it will already be 2016! Time sure flies very fast, don't you think?
Anyway, I wore this to a launching of a new collection for an established brand of watches which I'll blog about soon.
I was given the Best Dressed gift at the event and got myself a brand new watch which was totally unexpected. So embarrassing I had to go in front of everyone and receive the gift but was happy to see the gift. They didn't tell me there's going to be a Best Dressed contest prior to the event so wining something unexpected was a lovely surprise. Alhamdulillah for the rezeki. :) Syukur.
I love aere's newly released VERA Suede Pleated Skirt which I can style with so many separate pieces to create different looks. I especially love the suede top part because it feels luxurious. I've worn it to a few events and few ladies actually came up to me and actually touch that part just to feel how soft it is. Haha. I've always been a lover of pleats but I wanted the accordion pleats to be tiny and very close together and I'm really very satisfied with how the final pieces turned out.
